Nutty Delight RecipeNutty Delight Recipe

A low-carb treat for the whole family. I love this one for guilt-free nibbling. Great with Apples too.

1 cup Pecan Halves

½  cup Hazelnuts

1 cup Sliced Almonds

1 tsp. Whole Anise

½ tsp. Each of Cinnamon, Nutmeg and powdered Ginger

1/4 cup Butter

1-2 tablespoons of Splenda

In a dry pan at medium heat, I first toast the larger nuts for about 10 minutes, stir occasionally till they smell nutty.

Add the smaller nuts, here along with the Almonds, could be Pine Nuts, Sesame seeds and so on. The nut mixture is really up to you and your families tastes. Toast those nuts with the first ones for another 7-10 minutes. Stir often till toasty brown.

Here s the quick part: Turn off the burner, add the butter and stir it in. Quickly add the spices and the Splenda. Mix until the Splenda melts on the nuts.
