Dr. Elin Ritchie MD

Dr. Elin Ritchie, MD is a Board Certified Family Medicine physician, specializing in holistic medicine, anti-aging medicine and weight loss. Born and raised in Winnipeg, Canada, she entered medical school in 1988, receiving her MD degree from the University of Manitoba in 1992. She completed her Family Medicine residency at Saint Boniface General Hospital, Winnipeg, Canada, in 1994.

At the age of 27 Dr. Ritchie was the youngest medical doctor to ever join The Eugene Clinic in Eugene, OR. After maintaining a successful practice in Eugene for 6 years, she moved to Taos, NM in April of 2000.

Dr. Ritchie studied acupuncture with Dr. Tsun-Nin Lee MD, becoming certified to practice acupuncture by The North American Symposium on Acupuncture in 2001. She became a licenced massage therapist in the State of New Mexico in 2005. A practitioner of BodyMind Clearing, Dr. Ritchie uses BodyMind Clearing techniques to assist patients in overcoming chronic disease and disability. In 2010, she received her certification in Addiction Medicine by the American Board of Addiction Medicine. Dr. Ritchie incorporates herbs and nutritional supplements in her practice.

Since moving to Taos, Dr. Ritchie’s medical practice has included weight loss patients, anti-aging clients and emergency room rotations. She lives in Taos with her husband James and two of their four beautiful children.
